Venue
Your accommodation for the Q2 is in Broughton Sanctuary, a Grade 1 listed stately home surrounded by stunning countryside and beautiful 17th Century formal gardens, at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. The nearest town is Skipton. Some of your work will also be done at Broughton’s award-winning wellbeing centre, Avalon.

Accommodation and food options
All accommodation at Broughton Sanctuary offers period decor and historic features, and there are ample shared communal spaces and scenic private areas. Sleeping accommodation is a mixture of single rooms and rooms shared by two participants of the same gender. Some rooms are ensuite, while others share bathrooms. There are also a selection of premium ensuite rooms available on this Q2.
Each of the accommodation options at Broughton Sanctuary is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you have registered and indicated your preference, we’ll be happy to explain the room allocation options and availability to you in more detail. The office will then confirm your room allocation to you by email. Please do not attempt to book specific rooms directly with Broughton Sanctuary.
A note on special diets
The food at Broughton Sanctuary is locally sourced, mostly plant-based, fresh and seasonal. Menus have been specially formulated to enhance and support the emotional and physical work that you’ll be doing. Refreshments and snacks are plentiful and in constant supply. Vegetarian diets can be catered for at no extra cost (but please inform us in advance if you are vegetarian). Special diets – vegan, gluten-free, wheat-free and dairy-free – can be provided at a small additional cost, to be paid directly to Broughton Sanctuary. Please let us know if you would like to request a special diet.
Q2 registration and booking
The cost of the Q2 at Broughton Sanctuary depends on the accommodation type you choose, and your arrival date
- Premium room: £1,400 per person + £348 room supplement (payable to Broughton Sanctuary).
Single accommodation for Saturday and Sunday night, all meals, 3 days of tuition and use of Avalon facilities. - Standard room: £1,400 per person, which includes single accommodation for Saturday and Sunday night
- Twin/double room: £1,300 per person, which includes shared accommodation for Saturday and Sunday night
If you would like to arrive on the Friday evening before the Q2 begins, you are very welcome to do so. A supplement of £252 payable to Broughton Sanctuary will apply for Friday night dinner, room and breakfast for twin and standard single rooms (£426 for a premium room)
- A deposit of £400 is payable upon registration.
- Your balance is payable four weeks before the start of the Q2 – by Friday 10 February 2023.
You can make payment online, by telephone, or by bank transfer.
In certain circumstances, your deposit can also be transferred to another date at a different venue. Please contact the office to arrange transfers, and note that an admin fee may be chargeable, depending on your reasons for moving. See our full terms and conditions for details.
If you are registered for VAT and are attending the Q2 for CPD, you may be able to reclaim the VAT on your booking. We advise you to check with your accountant or financial advisor.
Timings
The Q2 starts with registration at 9.30am on Saturday and ends at 4.00pm on the following Monday. Meals and accommodation for the duration of the Q2 are included in your course fee.
Arrival
You are welcome to arrive from 4pm on the Friday evening before the course starts and to spend that evening settling into your room before the Q2 begins.
Travel
By Road
Broughton is situated at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. The main road that runs by the estate is the A59 and the nearest town is Skipton. The postcode for SatNav is: BD23 3AE. The Hall is approximately 1 hour by car from Leeds, 1.5 hours from Manchester and around 4.5 hours from central London. You can view a map below or on the Broughton Sanctuary website, here.
By Rail
Trains run frequently from Skipton railway station to all parts of the UK. There is a direct service to and from London King’s Cross/St Pancras. A taxi from Skipton station to Broughton Sanctuary costs approximately £10.
By Air
Leeds/Bradford, Manchester and Liverpool airports are quickly accessible by road. Leeds Bradford is approximately a 45 minute drive, Liverpool or Manchester airports are each about 1.5 hours.
