Our Hoffman Graduate Interview
With botanical illustrator, Jess Shepherd
After finishing University and starting work, Jess Shepherd was finding life difficult and directionless. Finally, a colleague suggested the Hoffman Process, which helped her to deal with her emotions and define the true direction that she wanted to take with her career.

'It was during my week at Florence House that I realised just how much I wanted to be a full-time painter. It had been a childhood dream, but I never thought I could make a living from it. In one of the group activities, I realised that it would be possible.
Six months after the Process, which is the time they advise before making any big changes to your life, I made a commitment to my painting and moved house. It was the best thing I’ve ever done...'

An evening with Tim Laurence
Hoffman UK Founder to speak at Alternatives

UK Hoffman founder Tim Laurence will speak at Alternatives in London on Monday 20 March.

The talk, called Can We Ever Really Change? will look at the ways that any of us can change - and at the wisdom of leaving aside what we can't.

Tim trained under Bob Hoffman and is one of the most experienced global teachers of the Hoffman Process. His book You Can Change Your Life is now on its second edition, and is available in nine languages.

For full information and to book online at a reduced rate from on-the-door price, click here.

‘You need to change yourself first - only after that will real changes happen in your life.’

'Emotional-baggage handlers'
Hoffman featured in Red Magazine

February's issue of Red Magazine contains a special feature on 'Life-Changing Retreats', reviewing what it calls 'some of the most nurturing and therapeutic locations in the world.' We're delighted to be included.

We're also grateful to Hoffman Graduate and author Anoushka Beazley for agreeing to share her Process story with the readers of Red:

'I'd been unhappy for a long time, but the only thing I could put my finger on was my complicated relationship with my mum. At Hoffman, we did a lot of work around parent relationships, first accessing any pain and anger, then working towards forgiving. Letting ourselves be seen by others was part of the healing process. I arrived entrenched in the past but left knowing there was a pain-free future ahead...'
'Emotional detoxes are becoming more sought after than good old spa breaks...'
Sharon Walker, Red Magazine

Red magazine is available in newsagents now, or you can subscribe online here.
'Serious About Change'
Trish Lesslie explores what makes her tick...
We're also grateful to journalist Trish Lesslie for sharing her story this month with readers of The Resident magazine. Initially nervous about what she was letting herself in for, Trish was pleasantly surprised at her Process experience:

' A forensic examination of my past, present and potential future turned out to be one of the most profound and rewarding experiences of my life.
I came out the same person, but the shift in my attitude has made a huge difference. I'm less stressed, more patient and forgiving and my relationships are better for it.'
