In May this year Hoffman Teachers and staff
from the UK and Ireland met for our
two-day Annual General Meeting.
As with most things to do with Hoffman it wasn't 'business as usual' but involved some illuminating, innovative and inspiring exercises, allowing for greater bonding and openness. Some exciting new projects were initiated and roles and accountability were clarified; not least the role of the Hoffman Process in today's world. Since the Process began over 40 years ago it's important that we adapt to social change, yet Bob Hoffman's intention to 'bring peace to the world, one person at a time' has never seemed more appropriate. Inner peace seems to be more elusive than ever, so it's our responsibility to let people know that the Hoffman Process exists. If you'd like advice on how to speak about the Process or would like us to send information to someone on your behalf, please call 01903 88 99 90 or email. "This unique course has a hugely impressive record for helping individuals achieve lasting emotional growth. Nothing else comes close." Oliver James, clinical psychologist, author 'Affluenza' |

In a recent Times interview psychologist
Richard Bentall states that: 'Outcomes for
psychiatric disorders are no better than in
the Victorian period.. patients
are more likely to recover in countries where
there are virtually no services'. Bentall
feels that what's needed is a complete change
in our
approach to mental illness: 'The
evidence supports a treatment model that
relies on supportive relationships rather
than pills. What works is being kind and
listening to people, encouraging them to be
optimistic and treating them with
respect'.
With 31 million prescriptions for antidepressants prescribed in the UK every year, hopefully the Hoffman Process is able to offer a drug-free option to those who are looking for it. As Hoffman Graduate David Dietch says: "...in a world of countless and often endless therapies, it is significant to find one that is without question the most focused, organized, systematic, time-limited and helpful." David Deitch, Ph.D., National Institute of Mental Health consultant |

Our hugely popular Hoffman Supervising
Teacher, Loreen
Visser, is coming over
from Australia to teach the July 10th -17th
Process in Kent. Hoffman Graduates can catch
Loreen at Closure
on Thursday July 16th.
Whilst Loreen is over she's offering a four day residential course at Quenby Hall in Leicestershire, pictured left. There are just a couple of places left. Running from July 23rd to 26th, Transformed Self is a course designed for twelve participants with two teachers. It offers a highly personalised experience within a group structure. The course takes you through core shames issues and into your essence using a method which is highly compatible with the Process. Loreen is also offering one to one work on day intensives. 'My expectations were met...and some. What can I tell you?! I laughed, I cried, I shared, I faced my deepest ,darkest fears....and through it all...on the other side, I found what lay waiting was a deeper connection to myself and others, a new understanding, true forgiveness, excitement about and a new respect for - LIFE.' Donna Lancaster, Hoffman Teacher This isn't bookable via the office, as it isn't a Hoffman event. Anyone is welcome to attend. |

DJ and Artist Goldie, who described his
experience of the Hoffman Process as "very
eye-opening spiritually" is creating a new
orchestral piece for this year's proms.
Classic Goldie, a two-part documentary
on BBC Two following his progress, will
screen either side of the world premiere of
the six-minute piece at the Royal Albert Hall
on August 1st.
He intends to create a new musical sound akin to orchestral drum 'n' bass: high tempo, "dirty" and percussive. "I'm not going to frighten viewers though, with something full on and hard core. It is going to be uplifting and there is a groove in this thing." We can hardly wait to hear it! |

Recycling - Wednesday July 8th
We can put off using this important Hoffman technique as much as we put off other types of recycling in our life, yet it's so useful in keeping ourselves free of patterns. If you'd like a refresher on how to turn your patterns into new behaviour, this is the call for you. Led by Esme Page, one of our most experienced UK Hoffman Teachers, this call is ideal if you've finished your Post Process Support Groups and want to reconnect to the Process tools. We'd also welcome Hoffman Graduates who have been 'out of the loop' and would like to refresh their perspective. In short - if you've done the Process, wherever you live - this one's for you!
Frequently Asked Questions about the
Support Call "The call gave me a 'kickstart' which resulted in a very revealing elevator tool that I did later that evening which made a lot of sense. It also helped me feel less isolated which was brilliant."Alison
