Hoffman UK Graduate E-newsletter | January 2017
Wishing you all a very happy New Year
Many people take the New Year as an opportunity to check in, take stock of the old patterns that are holding them back, and make a commitment to change – exactly the same cycle of transformation we use in the Process.

In this month's newsletter:
  • Nirpal Dhaliwal, Lizi Hill and Amelia Freer share the results of their Post-Process transformations
  • Yoga instructor Sonia Doubell shares her top tips on self-care, plus a five-minute yoga sequence
  • We launch our NEW parenting workshops, to help parents and carers take a different approach to old parenting patterns, whether or not they have done the Process

Plus news of upcoming events for Hoffies, friends and families, including the return of our ever-popular 5Rhythms guided dance evening in London.

Wishing you a positive, self-aware and joyful New Year,

With love from Serena and the Hoffman team

A radical new start
Nirpal Dhaliwal shares his Process story

"Last January, determined to put the anguish of my past behind me, I spent a week at an English country house, undergoing the Hoffman Process... Two months after doing it, I felt a calmness, self-acceptance and compassion, both for myself and others, that I had not experienced before. Through doing the Process, I looked closely and clearly at the circumstances in which I was raised, and found the ability to finally understand and forgive my parents unconditionally for the mess they made of my childhood – and also to forgive myself for the mess I made of my adulthood as a result..."

Committing to self-care
With yoga instructor Sonia Doubell

"Self-care is so much more than going for a pedicure. It’s about growing. It’s about getting to know the intricate details of yourself. As Hoffman would put it, it’s a deep awareness of yourself as a physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual being."

First, you need to know your body and how it operates … Stage two is discovering what amazing things it can do if you train its endless potential …"

"Hoffman was the beginning of a beautiful friendship for me and gave me clarity about what really nourished me. And that’s gold dust"
A nutritious new start…
With author and nutritionist Amelia Freer

Amelia Freer, nutritional therapist and author of Eat, Nourish, Glow, found diet to be the key to resolving her own health challenges. She's now passionate about encouraging people to experience the power of food and the importance of making healthy eating accessible.

Amanda has recently had notable success in helping high-profile clients such as Kirstie Allsopp, Boy George and James Corden. Her new book, Nourish & Glow, The Ten Day Plan is due out in March 2017 and is available to pre-order here.

"The Hoffman Process gave me the tools to grow in confidence and hence to pursue my career and my own happiness. I benefitted enormously from the experience and regularly recommend it."
A creative new start…
With artist Lizi Hill
Lizi Hill lives in Jersey and creates sculptures and installations from metal, wood, paper, and porcelain. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, she shapes materials into sculptural forms exploring the idea of movement.

"Before doing the Hoffman Process, I felt that I'd completely lost my sense of self. Coupled with childhood patterns of feeling an outsider, it was a very tough and lonely time.

Luckily there are many Hoffman graduates in Jersey and one of them suggested that I should contact the Hoffman Institute. Now I feel so valued and proud to be creating art with passion and love."

We're also delighted to hear that fellow Grad Naomie Harris was awarded an OBE for services to drama following her roles in Bond films Skyfall and Spectre.

"I did the Hoffman Process because I want to fully become an adult... Most of us operate as if we are adults, but we aren't emotionally mature at all. I just want to be the best human being I can be."
