 Dear Nikki,
Hoffman LogoAll of us here at Hoffman UK would like to welcome you to the last newsletter of 2009. It's wonderful that readership has increased by 15% over the  past year and we've had a 75% increase in visitors to our website. We hope that some of the newsletter items have inspired you to take steps to implement positive changes in your life.

All transformation takes courage and spiritual transformation even more so.  As you read this, there are people embarking on the Hoffman Process in the UK, as well as  Bahrain, Argentina, Spain, Germany, France, Canada, the USA and Brazil. How amazing is that! One thing that these participants will all have in common is a new openness and self-awareness, which will impact not only on them but also their families around the world.

When author and Hoffman Graduate Lesley Garner asked her father how she could ever repay the love he had shown her, he simply said "Pass it on".

With this phrase in mind we encourage all of you to think of somethng positive that you have experienced this year and  to share it with someone you're close to. If we all pass something wonderful on, who knows what global changes we might initiate!

For those of you who have done the Process, you'll find  opportunities in this issue to help deepen and expand your understanding of family patterns. For those of you who haven't done the Process we hope that you enjoy our monthly newsletters and that you'll continue to stay in touch through 2010.

Click for Lesley's article: How to Find Peace in a Stressful World.

Dates for 2010 Processes and Information Evenings are on our calendar page.

Hoffman Grads - A Banquet for the Soul
Staying with the theme of how the Process affects people around the world we thought you might be interested in this quote from American Hoffman Graduate Mark Victor Hansen. Author of over 300 books and information products, Mark has certainly found a way to share his inspirational experiences:

'We've got the most prosperous culture in human history and we've also got the biggest spiritual hole in human history. People are saying, 'I can't fill the hole with money. I can't fill it with alcohol, or drugs, or sex, so what do I need to fill it with?' To fill that hole you need something like the Hoffman Process, where you clean up your act and go deep inside to find out that your core essence really is important, that you do matter, and you can make a difference.'
  Hoffman Graduate Mark Victor Hansen.

Xmas Party - We're springing into action!

Xmas Tree
We're so sorry to disappoint those of you who were looking forward to the Christmas party. Unfortunately we had some venue problems.  But rumour has it that here at Hoffman, Santa can put in an appearance any time of year....so in the spirit of change - which as you know we are very serious about! - our Christmas Party has now morphed into a Spring Garden Party. We'll be dancing round the maypole on Saturday May 1st so that's a date you CAN put in your diary - or Santa gets the sack!

We hope that you'll find ways of celebrating with your Hoffman buddies this Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all in the Spring.
Info Phone-In January 5th
Serena Is the Hoffman Process for you?
Many of you tell us that Information Evenings are very helpful in deciding whether the Process is for you; yet London or Dublin may not be convenient. So we now offer monthly information phone-ins. They are really lively with callers questions and interesting input from previous Process participants and Hoffman Teachers.

Call from wherever you are in the world and join UK Hoffman Director Serena Laurence, pictured here, from 7.30 - 8.30pm UTC/GMT for our January 5th Information phone-in. You can just listen or if you have a question, we'll be delighted to help.
We'll cover topics such as:
  • How can you tell if the Process is right for you?
  • What changes can you expect following the course?
  • How do you continue the benefits of the Process once it's over?
  • What are the long-term benefits?

Can't make this date? Next call is Tuesday February 23rd 7.30 - 8.30pm

  • How the Other Half Lives - Can you Help?
    Man Holding Child's Hand
How the Other Half Lives is a ground-breaking documentary series about child poverty produced for Channel 4 by RDF Television (also producers of the award winning and critically acclaimed series, The Secret Millionaire.)

Following the success of the first series, they are now looking for well-off families to take part in the second series by sponsoring a family facing hardship.  Each programme observes the lifestyles of two families from different ends of the economic spectrum, ideally with at least one child aged over 8 years, as the better off family help the low income family to get back on their feet.  Families who took part in the last series felt it was an invaluable learning experience for their children, as the programme's aim is to highlight the issues surrounding child poverty in the UK.

As is typical in television, their deadlines are very tight.  If you'd like to know more about the series or discuss participation, contact Jo Trigg on: 020 7013 4149 or email: jo.trigg@rdftelevision.com

We put out a similar appeal  for someone to take part in a silent retreat earlier this year and the BBC selected a Hoffman Graduate to participate, so let's hope it happens again!

Read about the series on the Save the Children website: www.savethechildren.org.uk/en/41_9051.htm.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Support Call
Do I have to talk? This and other common questions are covered in our support call factsheet.

"I have found the support calls so helpful in staying connected with my Process.  The ones on relationships have helped me to understand the games I play - that I wasn't even aware of.  I've been able to feel patterns coming up in many of my relationships post process - but the drama triangle discussed last time, has helped me see more clearly what's going on." Lorna

'I am delighted that Matthew Pruen and Gaye Donaldson are able to offer Hoffman graduates a chance to work with Constellations next year. My own experience of this work, both personally and with on-going Hoffman Institute affairs, has been powerfully affecting and impressive. This work has helped us diagnose vital, underlying issues that have held back our growth and shed light on healing possibilities that had previously remained obscure. I wholeheartedly recommend these workshops to any Hofman graduate wanting to deepen their Process experience and look forward to working with them again next year.' Serena Laurence
